SKY PerfecTV! has announced that they will continue to broadcast Dream Stage Entertainment events for the time being.
The Shibuya, Tokyo based SKY PerfecTV! is Japan's leading digital satellite broadcasting company. Last Friday, the company announced they would meet on Monday, June 12th to discuss whether or not Dream Stage Entertainment ventures such as PRIDE Fighting Championships and HUSTLE would continue to be carried on SKY PerfecTV!
On June 6th, Dream Stage Entertainment President Nobuyuki Sakakibara met with SKY PerfecTV! representatives to discuss the issue, and was told to submit a written report in regards to the matter. The report was submitted to SKY PerfecTV! on June 9th, and its contents were discussed on Monday. SKY PerfecTV! officials have now announced that, at least for the time being, Dream Stage Entertainment's events will continue to be broadcast on pay-per-view. This includes the upcoming HUSTLE Aid event on June 17th, as well as PRIDE's July 1st Saitama Super Arena Event.
Representatives of SKY PerfecTV! stressed the tentativeness of the decision, saying, "We will continue our relation with Dream Stage Entertainment but we will withhold our final decision until a later date. If more news of improper behavior is discovered, the relation may very well be discontinued."
