Dennis Kang is for real

I have seen about half the fights from Pride Bushido 11, and so far Dennis Kang's stunning first round knock-out of Murilo Ninja Rua was the most impressive performance. Rua beat Mario Sperry and had gone the distance with some of the world's top fighters (including Quinton Jackson, Ricardo Arona and Paulo Filho). In fact only Sergei Kharitonov, a heavyweight, had been able to knock Rua out.

Yet the 185 pound Kang rocked Rua with the first punch he landed, quickly followed up with devestating punches from Rua's guard and KO'd Rua just 15 seconds into the fight. Unbelievable.

You may not be impressed when you see Kang's 22-7-1 record, but he is undefeated in his last 18 fights and has won 12 straight. His KO of Rua has convinced me to make him one of my favorites (after Paulo Fihlo) to win the Bushido welterweight tournament title.

In fact I am so impressed that, as a special Dennis Kang bonus, I present a video of Kang teaching the anaconda choke.
