WFA gets a deal with Showtime (kinda)

I just got an email from the WFA announcing that it has reached a deal with Showtime to broadcast the WFA's count-down special.

While this may help the WFA drum up interest in its upcoming show, you have to think that this is just the precursor to the announcement that Showtime will be broadcasting WFA cards. (At least I hope so.)

Here's the WFA press release:

Showtime to Air “WFA: King of the Streets” Countdown Special Nationally in Advance of World Fighting Alliance MMA Pay-Per-View Event on July 22nd From Los Angeles, CA

The World Fighting Alliance (WFA), a recently launched national mixed martial arts (MMA) organization featuring some of the sport’s biggest names, reached an agreement today with Showtime Television.
