ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION PUBLISHED AN MMA ARTICLE, and it isn’t too bad. The article is about this weekend’s World Extreme Fighting Championship. Unfortunately, when it came time to find a quote to put a negative, sensationlist spin on MMA, promoter Jamie Levine stepped up to the plate:

One of the fighters, said producer Levine, “is a street thug. He is in jail most of the time.”

. . .

“We had 72 stitches at our last event,” said Jamie Levine, executive producer of “Bring It On! World Extreme Fighting Championship” scheduled for Saturday night at the Cobb County Civic Center.

Message to Jamie Levine: The press finds it easy enough to make the sport look barbaric, they do not need help from the promoters.
